Therapy Formats

Therapy can be offered on an individual or a group basis. Although it is recognised that the individual format of therapy is the most effective way to treat psychological distress, it is not always available due to the "labour intensive" nature of individual therapy.

Although based in Weston super Mare, my practice also covers the Taunton and Bristol City Regions, including Bridgewater, Highbridge, Pawlett, Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead and rural locations across North Somerset. Sessions at a convenient location or home/office visits may be arranged.

Should it be necessary to conduct therapy away from clinic mileage is charged at £0.45 per mile

Payment terms are now available if fees are paid by monthly standing order, Contact me by Email or freephone 0800 078 7712 for further information.

The fees for private consultations may either be paid by an individual, a health insurer or a third party, such as a solicitor (if written authorisation has been received). It is usually recommended that a patient obtains a referral to see a specialist from their general practitioner. However, this is not necessary if you do not wish your GP to be involved.

Please Note: If you need to cancel an appointment please give as much notice as is possible as cancellations with less than twenty four hours notice may be invoiced at the full session rate. Missed appointments will be invoiced at the full session rate.

“NICE guidance has approved Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for depression, some forms of anxiety and for schizophrenia on seven occasions, yet it is still scarce and subject to waiting times that would be unacceptable for any other form of specialist treatment on the NHS.”
